A second opinion is for anyone who has been given a diagnosis or a treatment plan elsewhere and wants to understand it before committing — whether that's a single crown or a full smile makeover. Nothing is done at this visit without your OK.

Is the second opinion really free?
Yes. The consultation and Dr. Alvey's opinion are complimentary — no fee and no obligation. If a cone beam CT scan or other new imaging is needed to answer your question properly, we'll explain why and give you the fee before anything is taken.
What should I bring?
Your treatment plan from the other office and any recent x-rays, ideally from the last year. If you don't have them, give us the office's name and we'll request your records for you. A list of your medications and your questions helps too.
What kinds of treatment plans do you give second opinions on?
Most often: crowns, root canals, extractions, implants versus bridges, veneers and smile makeovers, aligners, deep cleanings and gum treatment, and dentures. If your plan involves something we don't provide, we'll say so and point you in the right direction.
Will you just tell me what I want to hear?
No. Sometimes we agree with the original plan, and we'll say so. As a fee-for-service studio we have no network or quota steering our advice — our only stake is in getting it right for you.
Can I get the second opinion in Vietnamese or Spanish?
Yes. Dr. Anh Alvey speaks Vietnamese and can review your plan and explain your options in Vietnamese during the visit. Our front desk and dental assistant speak Spanish, so booking, paperwork and your questions during the visit can all be in Spanish.
What if I decide to go ahead with treatment at AGAVI?
We'll schedule it at your pace. You'll have the fee in writing first, financing is available, and AGAVI Club members receive member pricing. If you have dental benefits, we file out-of-network claims for you.

“The best teeth cleaning in the USA. I highly recommend the doctor Anh Alvey; she is very gentle when treating your teeth and is excellent at her profession.
