Dental emergency?
Call us first.
A toothache that won't quit, a chipped or knocked-out tooth, a crown that came off, swelling that worries you — we hold same-day time for emergencies and talk you through what to do before you arrive. Calm, clear care when you need it most.
Why AGAVI
Emergency Dentistry, done differently.
Same-day time, held for you
We keep room in the schedule for emergencies during studio hours, so a real problem is seen today — not squeezed in next week. Call (281) 213-2071 and we'll tell you exactly when to come.
Relief first, then a plan
The first job is to stop the pain and stabilize the tooth. Then we show you what's happening on digital x-rays and intraoral photos and lay out your options — with the fee in writing before anything beyond today's relief begins.
Calm, even on a bad day
An emergency is stressful enough. The studio was built to settle nerves, and nitrous oxide is available when you need help relaxing while we work.
The Process
Considered, start to finish.
Every step explained before it happens, in plain language — that's the AGAVI way. Here's how an emergency visit unfolds here.
- Same-day emergency appointments during studio hours
- Phone guidance before you arrive
- Toothache, abscess and infection relief
- Chipped, cracked and knocked-out teeth
- Lost fillings, loose crowns and broken dental work
- Nitrous oxide available for comfort
Call (281) 213-2071
Tell us what happened. We'll give you first-aid guidance for the next hour — how to handle a knocked-out tooth, manage swelling, or protect a broken one — and hold a time for you.
Seen the same day
Most emergencies are seen the day you call during studio hours. New patients are welcome — you don't need to be an existing patient to get help.
Find the cause, clearly
A focused exam with digital x-rays — and cone beam 3D imaging when it matters — shows us exactly what's going on. You see the same images we do, explained in plain language.
Relieve, protect, plan
We treat the urgent problem today whenever possible, and map out any follow-up — a filling, crown, root canal, or implant — on your timeline, not ours.
Good Questions
Emergency Dentistry, answered honestly.
What counts as a dental emergency?
Anything that involves significant pain, swelling, bleeding that won't stop, or a tooth that has been knocked out, broken, or loosened. A lost crown or filling, a cracked tooth, or a sudden sharp sensitivity also deserve a same-day call — treating them early is usually simpler and less costly than waiting. If you're unsure, call anyway; we'll help you decide.
My tooth was knocked out. What should I do right now?
Call us immediately — time matters most in the first hour. Pick the tooth up by the crown (the white part), not the root. If it's dirty, rinse it gently with milk or saline for a few seconds; don't scrub it. If you can, place it back in its socket and hold it there with gentle pressure; if not, keep it in a cup of milk or tucked inside your cheek, and come straight in.
Should I go to the emergency room instead?
Go to the ER or call 911 for facial swelling that affects your breathing or swallowing, bleeding you can't control, a suspected broken jaw, or a head injury. Hospitals can manage those risks but generally can't treat the tooth itself — for everything dental, we're the faster and more complete option. Many patients see us the same day after the ER has ruled out the serious concern.
Do you see new patients for emergencies?
Yes. You don't have to be an existing patient — call (281) 213-2071 and we'll find you time the same day during studio hours. We welcome patients from Cypress, Katy, and across northwest Houston.
What does an emergency visit cost?
The visit begins with a focused exam and the x-rays needed to find the cause, and we quote any treatment before we start — in writing, with no surprises. We're an insurance-independent studio, so fees are the same for everyone; if you have dental benefits we'll file the out-of-network claim for you, and financing is available for larger treatment.
What if my emergency happens after hours or on a weekend?
Call (281) 213-2071 — current patients receive after-hours instructions on the line, and every caller can leave a message that we return as soon as the studio opens. In the meantime: over-the-counter pain relief as directed, a cold compress for swelling, and avoid chewing on the affected side. For swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, or bleeding that won't stop, go to the ER.

“The best teeth cleaning in the USA. I highly recommend the doctor Anh Alvey; she is very gentle when treating your teeth and is excellent at her profession. The clinic is very clean and beautiful—highly recommended.”“Ok real talk, I'm scared of the dentist fr. Hadn't been in a minute… like a LONG minute 😬. But I walked into AGAVI and bro, the whole spot looks like a resort. Lowkey had me calm the second I walked in, no cap.
They greeted me like I was checking into a vacation spot. Check-in was all on my phone, quick, no clipboard stuff. Then they did a full exam with all the new tech and even scanned my teeth in 3D. Meanwhile I'm just chillin watching the TV on the ceiling like it's nothing.
After that they put everything up on a big screen, my x-rays and pics of my teeth, and broke it all down. They answered every question I had and never made me feel dumb about how long it'd been. La neta, that meant a lot.
Then they got me in for my cleaning right away, and ong I needed it BAD. My teeth and my whole mouth feel so clean now, like brand new. I've never walked out of a dentist feeling like this.
I already told them I'm doing my veneers there. Can't wait. If you're scared of the dentist like me, go to AGAVI. 10/10 🔥🦷”“I went to Agavi dental studio as a new patient. First off, the waiting room and whole office feels and looks and even smells like a tropical Tulum resort spa. The effect is elevated and calming. On arrival I was greeted warmly and offered a cool scented face towel and refreshment like when you arrive at a nice resort. Check in was easy and digital. They did a full exam with the latest tech. They even scanned my teeth in 3D! They did all this while I relaxed watching the overhead TV. They also presented the exam results on a nice big screen where they showed my Xray’s and pictures and answered all my questions. I only needed a cleaning, which I got right away, and again it was a calm experience and my teeth have never felt cleaner! With the resort like experience and great customer service, I look forward to my next visit.”“Highly recommend Agave Dental Studio in Cypress! I recently had an appointment and can't say enough good things about Dr. Alvey. She was so thorough during the exam and incredibly gentle throughout my treatment. The office has a welcoming atmosphere, and the team is professional and friendly. If you're looking for a dentist who truly cares about patient comfort, go see Dr. Alvey! -dameon”Ready when
