Check, clean, and plan
Whitening works best on healthy, clean teeth. We examine for decay or gum concerns, note your current shade, and recommend in-studio, take-home, or a combination.
In-studio session
Gums are protected, professional gel is applied and activated, and you relax for about an hour with the TV on the ceiling. Most patients see a noticeably brighter smile before they leave.
Custom take-home trays
From a quick 3D scan we make trays that fit only your teeth, so gel stays where it belongs. Wear them as directed for one to two weeks — or keep them for touch-ups for years.
Keep it bright
Simple habits and an occasional touch-up keep results going for a year or more. Many patients pair a touch-up with their regular cleaning.

Is professional whitening safe for my enamel?
Yes, when it's done under a dentist's supervision. Professional whitening gels have been studied for decades and don't damage enamel when used as directed. The risks of whitening come from over-use or ill-fitting products — exactly what an exam first, protected gums, and custom trays prevent.
How white will my teeth get?
Most patients lighten several shades. The result depends on your starting shade and the type of staining: yellowish stains from coffee, tea, and age respond best; grayish discoloration from certain medications or trauma responds more slowly and sometimes calls for bonding or veneers instead. We'll give you an honest expectation before you start.
Will whitening make my teeth sensitive?
Some people notice temporary sensitivity for a day or two; it fades on its own. We reduce the chance by examining your teeth first, protecting your gums, and matching gel strength and wear time to your history. If you're prone to sensitivity, tell us — a gentler take-home protocol or a desensitizing toothpaste beforehand helps a great deal.
How long does teeth whitening last?
Typically a year or more, depending on your habits — coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco bring stains back faster. Custom trays make maintenance easy: a night or two of touch-up every few months keeps you at your brightest, and many patients schedule a touch-up with their regular cleaning.
Will whitening change the color of my crowns, veneers, or fillings?
No — whitening works on natural enamel only. Existing crowns, veneers, and bonding stay the shade they were made. If you're planning new cosmetic work, whiten first; we then match the new restorations to your brighter smile. If older work no longer matches after whitening, we can discuss refreshing it.
What does teeth whitening cost at AGAVI?
Fees depend on whether you choose in-studio, take-home trays, or both, and we'll give you the exact figure at your visit before anything begins. Whitening is cosmetic, so insurance doesn't cover it; AGAVI Club members receive member pricing, and we're happy to pair whitening with a cleaning visit.
