Honest, conservative advice
As an insurance-independent studio, we recommend only what your mouth genuinely needs. A spot that can be watched is watched; a problem that should be treated is explained clearly, with the fee in writing.

Imaging and exam
Digital x-rays, intraoral photos, a 3D scan, and an oral cancer screening — then a thorough exam by Dr. Alvey of your teeth, gums, bite, and jaw.
A gentle, thorough cleaning
Plaque and tartar are removed above and below the gum line, and your teeth are polished smooth. If gum disease is present, we'll explain the periodontal therapy you need instead.

We review everything on screen, answer your questions, and agree on a plan — whether that's simply 'see you in six months' or a few things to take care of.

How often should I get a dental cleaning?
For most people, every six months. If you're prone to tartar build-up, have gum disease, wear braces or aligners, or have certain health conditions, every three to four months keeps things stable. We'll recommend the interval that fits your mouth — not a one-size schedule.
What does a first visit cost without insurance?
New patients without dental insurance can start with our $99 grand-opening offer: a comprehensive exam, panoramic and bitewing x-rays, intraoral photographs, a 3D scan, and a routine cleaning (in absence of periodontal disease) — a $1,350 value based on adult fees. It's the complete first visit, not a teaser.
Do you take my dental insurance?
We're insurance-independent, which means we aren't in-network with any plan — your care is planned around what's best for you, not what a network allows. If you have benefits, we'll prepare and file out-of-network claims on your behalf so you receive any reimbursement you're owed. Many patients without insurance join the AGAVI Club, our membership plan that covers preventive care and unlocks member pricing.
Does a dental cleaning hurt?
It shouldn't. Our hygiene is gentle by design, and we check in with you throughout. If your gums are tender or it's been a long time since your last visit, tell us — we can numb sensitive areas, go slower, or offer nitrous oxide so you're comfortable.
It's been years since I saw a dentist. Will I be judged?
Never. Life happens, and showing up today is what matters. We'll start with a calm, complete look at where things stand, explain what we find without lecturing, and build a plan at the pace you're comfortable with — nothing more than you need.
Can I add whitening or Botox to my cleaning visit?
Yes — that's the point of having a dental studio and medspa under one roof. Many patients pair a cleaning with a whitening touch-up, Botox, or a facial in the same appointment. Mention it when you book and we'll build the time in.

“The best teeth cleaning in the USA. I highly recommend the doctor Anh Alvey; she is very gentle when treating your teeth and is excellent at her profession.
