Same-day crowns,
designed to look like teeth.
A crown restores a tooth that's cracked, heavily filled, worn, or treated with a root canal — covering and protecting it so you can chew with confidence again. Ours begin with a comfortable digital scan and are designed and 3D-printed here in the studio on the SprintRay Midas, a chairside printer built specifically for crowns — most placed in a single visit, with no temporary crown and no second appointment — shaped and shaded to disappear among your natural teeth.
Why AGAVI
Dental Crowns, done differently.
Scanned, not goop-impressed
A 3D intraoral scan replaces the tray of impression material. It's more comfortable, more precise, and lets us design your crown on screen while you watch.
3D-printed under this roof, same day
Your crown is designed in-house with the same digital tools we use for veneers, then 3D-printed right here on the SprintRay Midas while you relax in the lounge. Its patented Digital Press technology prints a definitive crown in under ten minutes — finer detail than milling from a block, and one visit instead of two for most crowns.
Only as much as the tooth needs
When enough healthy tooth remains, a partial-coverage onlay preserves more of it than a full crown. We recommend the most conservative restoration that will protect the tooth for the long run.
The Process
Considered, start to finish.
Every step explained before it happens, in plain language — that's the AGAVI way. Here's how crown treatment unfolds here.
- Comfortable 3D intraoral scanning — no impression trays
- Metal-free crowns and onlays in SprintRay Midas Restore and Crown HT materials
- Same-day crowns — designed and 3D-printed in-house, most placed in one visit
- Crowns for cracked, worn, or root canal–treated teeth
- Implant crowns, designed alongside your implant
- Nitrous oxide or oral sedation on request
Examine and plan
Digital x-rays and photos show us how much healthy tooth remains. We'll explain whether a crown, an onlay, or a filling is the right call — and why.
Prepare and scan
Under local anesthetic — with nitrous or oral sedation if you'd like — the tooth is shaped conservatively, then captured with a comfortable 3D scan. No impression trays.
Design and print — while you wait
Your crown is designed digitally to match your bite and the shade of your neighboring teeth, then 3D-printed here in the studio on the SprintRay Midas within the same appointment. No temporary crown, no second visit for most cases.
Fit, check, bond
We check the fit, contacts, and bite, make any fine adjustments, and bond the crown permanently. Then you simply forget it's there.
Good Questions
Dental Crowns, answered honestly.
When does a tooth need a crown instead of a filling?
When too little healthy tooth remains for a filling to hold — a large or cracked old filling, a fractured cusp, significant wear, or a tooth that's had a root canal (back teeth especially). A filling repairs part of a tooth; a crown wraps and reinforces the whole thing. If an onlay can do the job while saving more tooth, we'll recommend that instead.
What are your crowns made of?
Our same-day crowns are 3D-printed on the SprintRay Midas in SprintRay's definitive restorative materials, Midas Restore and Crown HT — ceramic-dominant resins, more than 60% ceramic by content, engineered to behave like the tooth they replace. They're metal-free, strong enough for molars, natural-looking enough for front teeth, and polish to a final finish with no dark line at the gum. When a case calls for a lab-made ceramic crown instead, we'll tell you and explain why.
Can I really get a crown in one visit?
Yes — for most teeth. Scanning, design, and 3D printing all happen in the studio, so the tooth is prepared, the crown is made, and it's bonded in a single appointment of roughly two hours. No temporary crown, no goopy impression, no weeks-long wait. A few cases — certain front teeth where extra ceramic layering gives the best aesthetics, or teeth that need other treatment first — call for a second visit, and we'll tell you that up front.
How long does a dental crown last?
Well-made ceramic crowns commonly last ten to fifteen years or longer with good home care and regular check-ups. Grinding is the biggest threat to any crown; if you clench or grind, a custom night guard protects your investment.
Will my crown look natural?
Yes — that's the standard. Shade, translucency, and shape are matched to your own teeth with the same cosmetic eye we bring to veneers, and because the crown is designed digitally, you can see it on screen before it's made.
What does a crown cost in Cypress?
Fees depend on the tooth, the material, and whether a core build-up or other work is needed first, so we quote only after your exam — in writing, before we begin. We're insurance-independent, we file out-of-network claims for you if you have benefits, financing is available, and AGAVI Club members receive member pricing.

“The best teeth cleaning in the USA. I highly recommend the doctor Anh Alvey; she is very gentle when treating your teeth and is excellent at her profession. The clinic is very clean and beautiful—highly recommended.”“Ok real talk, I'm scared of the dentist fr. Hadn't been in a minute… like a LONG minute 😬. But I walked into AGAVI and bro, the whole spot looks like a resort. Lowkey had me calm the second I walked in, no cap.
They greeted me like I was checking into a vacation spot. Check-in was all on my phone, quick, no clipboard stuff. Then they did a full exam with all the new tech and even scanned my teeth in 3D. Meanwhile I'm just chillin watching the TV on the ceiling like it's nothing.
After that they put everything up on a big screen, my x-rays and pics of my teeth, and broke it all down. They answered every question I had and never made me feel dumb about how long it'd been. La neta, that meant a lot.
Then they got me in for my cleaning right away, and ong I needed it BAD. My teeth and my whole mouth feel so clean now, like brand new. I've never walked out of a dentist feeling like this.
I already told them I'm doing my veneers there. Can't wait. If you're scared of the dentist like me, go to AGAVI. 10/10 🔥🦷”“I went to Agavi dental studio as a new patient. First off, the waiting room and whole office feels and looks and even smells like a tropical Tulum resort spa. The effect is elevated and calming. On arrival I was greeted warmly and offered a cool scented face towel and refreshment like when you arrive at a nice resort. Check in was easy and digital. They did a full exam with the latest tech. They even scanned my teeth in 3D! They did all this while I relaxed watching the overhead TV. They also presented the exam results on a nice big screen where they showed my Xray’s and pictures and answered all my questions. I only needed a cleaning, which I got right away, and again it was a calm experience and my teeth have never felt cleaner! With the resort like experience and great customer service, I look forward to my next visit.”“Highly recommend Agave Dental Studio in Cypress! I recently had an appointment and can't say enough good things about Dr. Alvey. She was so thorough during the exam and incredibly gentle throughout my treatment. The office has a welcoming atmosphere, and the team is professional and friendly. If you're looking for a dentist who truly cares about patient comfort, go see Dr. Alvey! -dameon”Ready when
